The week of love is here, and we’re sure you are as excited as we are! If you still haven’t made your plans, how about we suggest to you some romantic getaways near Delhi (travel is the best gift, right?) that won’t burn a hole in your pocket too? Read on for the best Valentine’s Day getaways near Delhi!

1. Agra

Nothing symbolises love like the Taj Mahal. A few hours drive away from Delhi, and easily accessible by the new train Gatimaan Express, this is one of the best destinations to take your loved one too for v-day. You can even plan a day-trip to Agra without taking too many leaves from work. If you’d like, we recommend staying at the Double Tree by Hilton Agra or Four Points by Sheraton Agra.

Open House Cafe- New Menu

Hi everyone!

Getting back with food posts here on the blog after a short hiatus post my wedding, I’m going to start with the newly introduced menu at Cafe Open House in CP, Delhi. It had been a while since I went there, but when my dear friend Chef Saurabh Bhatnagar (you last met him at Oh Bao) who recently joined them (and re-invented the menu) invited me over for lunch, I could not refuse. Read on for my take on the new menu!

Dining with the Maharajas at Dilli 32

As much as I love attending food festivals across various hotels in Delhi, I simply love the ones that are done at Leela Ambience Convention Hotel. They are simply the best at the food festivals on offer in Delhi, and are not to be missed at all!

The latest in their offering is the ‘Dining with the Maharajas’ series where you will get a taste of royalty from all parts of India right in your city. The first pit stop on the ‘Dining with the Maharajas’ journey is Mahmoodabad, situated in the heart of the holy city of Sitapur. To bring out the authentic flavors of each dish, Chef de Cuisine Ashwani Kumar Singh himself travelled to the city to learn the art of recreating the royal dishes.

Delhi to Jaipur: The Long Weekend getaway!

With a quarter of 2017 already gone by, it is now time to start planning for the upcoming long weekends in 2017, since there aren’t too many left anyway, and before we know it, the year might just end. So bring out those planners and start planning. The best thing to do on a long weekend is to go to a tourist place near to where you live, ideally at a driveable distance. I find driving down to some place more enjoyable than taking a flight, especially when you are out to enjoy a long weekend with family or friends. You can make stopovers at your favorite local restaurants or dhabas, stop for tea breaks and enjoy the scenic views from the car while listening to your favorite songs.
