Anarkali suits, named aptly after Anarkali, the love interest of Mughal prince Salim, are a one-of-a-kind dress which looks flattering on all age groups and occasions. The floor-length dress, worn with churidar salwar and mostly a dupatta too, has recently made it’s way from the wedding wear closet to the office goer’s closet too, depending on the kind of embellishments, fabric and design that goes into the making of a particular dress. Here are some tips you must keep in mind when selecting an anarkali suit for yourself, especially when buying online..
So it is my birthday this month, and as the countdown to the d-day started a few days back, reality struck one fine
day midnight, and I got into the serious, contemplative mode- thinking all about what all has changed in the last 1 year. A lot of relief, though, came from the fact that things have only become better in most aspects of my life. And while I was thinking about all this, I realized that life always teaches you the lessons that you ought to know, and these lessons are the ones that make you the person you are today.
After my last post on my bridesmaids’ cocktail party outfit from my bestie’s wedding in April, I had been waiting all these months to wear my outfits again, get decked up and clicked in those outfits for the blog. ‘Coz truth be told, during the actual wedding functions in April, I was hella busy with everything and getting outfit pics clicked for the blog went to the back of my mind! 😛
Around the end of May, two girls packed their bags and left on a trip to Nahargarh, Ranthambore, Rajasthan. Today I am going to take you all on a virtual tour of our trip. Get ready to be immersed in luxury!
It’s been such a long time since I posted on this blog. April was a very hectic month for me, with two of my friends getting married in a span of 10 days. Being a bridesmaid is one tough job, I tell you! So much so that I forgot to click my OOTD pics at all the functions. Whoops! While you are doing 10 other things for the bride, clicking your own solo pics is the last thing on your mind!
Anyhoo, here’s presenting some pics for you guys that I clicked from my phone. Hope you’ll like them. Kindly bear with the picture quality :*
Yesterday I attended the preview for Manish Malhotra’s upcoming collection- to be showcased at Lakme Fashion Week Summer/ Resort 2015 in March. Scroll down for a peek into the upcoming collection before it is launched, and while I was there, I also clicked pics of the MM flagship store. Do take a look. #Drool
Manish’s new collection had lots of yellows, ivory and royal blues in it. Yellow, he said, was going to be the ‘in’ thing this season. It does make everything a little cheery, doesn’t it? The pieces sure look elegant and very wearable!
Below is a glimpse into the new collection…
The world (atleast my side of the world) woke up to gorgeous pictures of pretty ladies (and dapper gentlemen) at the red carpet of the Oscar 2015 awards ceremony. While I was drooling at the gowns and makeup of the lovely ladies, I couldn’t help but notice that there was a lot of ‘sheer’ element in the dresses. Delicate, sheer fabrics, see-through accents and lacy embroideries were seen everywhere. Spring is truly here, and this might just be the hottest fashion trend of the season.
Check out my top picks below. I couldn’t just stop at ‘top-10’ or something like that.
1. Jeniffer Aniston wore an Atelier Versace gown which had a peek-a-boo lower half along with a sexy side-slit till the knee.
If you have been following me on Instagram, you already must know that last weekend, I was in the pretty hill-station Kullu (Himachal Pradesh, India) for one of my best friend’s engagement and a weekend getaway! Here’s to give you all the details on my outfit which got a lot of adulation and enquiries on social media. Read on!
