OMG! This is a crazyyyy mango-filled post, so mango lovers, brace up! Lots of pictures, and yummy ones at that! I was invited to a Mangolicious (Food) Bloggers meet at Chew- Pan Asian Cafe’ (Connaught Place- Delhi) a few days back, and OMG! I had so much fun! Now enough of keeping you waiting, time for some pics!
But first, something about the cafe’, as they like to call it! ‘Chew’ has a very cool ambience, mosaic flooring et. al. The staff is very warm and welcoming. They also have an open kitchen, a huge spice-rack wall (not in pics), and the highlight of the cafe are the hanging/ swinging seats, a favorite of couples!
The food on offer is delish! No really, only very few places can make lotus-stems taste soooo good! And the prawns, dimsums, fish- all that I tried (I didn’t taste sushi- not a fan in general- but those who did liked it too)- everything was fab!
And not to forget the tiramisu- ah-mazing!
BUT! The event was about mangoes, and I’m sorry to have kept you waiting for so long (I know you’re drooling already, aren’t you?!).
Chewlicious Mango Dessert Festival
And that below, ladies and gentlemen, is the Mango Dome! Very subtle flavors that melt in your mouth- must try for those who love soft, creamy desserts.
Mango Panna Cotta– for those who love a burst of fresh mangoes in the mouth!
Mango Tart– delish!
Mango Strawberry Mousse Cake: Ah, so very nice, with the added goodness of strawberries. I’m hungry again, whooops!
Mango Cubes with Vanilla Icecream– not your regular home-made version. Has some delish mango sauce in between, marrying all flavors together into a sinful combination!
Saved the best for the last one- the Mangoffee Pie! Out of this world!!!!!! I have no words to describe this one- or maybe- a mango-version of the banoffee pie- only just better! MUST TRY!!!!
Overall, I had a blast at this food event, and would love to and recommend you all too to go visit them for some amazing food and desserts. The mangolicios festival goes on till mangoes last in a season, so go visit them asap!
