Raise your hands, Mumbai people!
Well, I’m an out and out Delhiite, and there’s no place quite like Delhi for me, and I know the quintessential Delhi- Mumbai ‘My City is Better Than Yours’ war of words going about all the time. But honestly, for me and my family, Mumbai has taken from us more than it has given back to us. I wouldn’t get into the details, but I just can’t bring myself to like Mumbai much. No, I don’t hate it. Nevertheless, professional commitments take me to Mumbai quite often, and slowly but steadily, I’m warming up to the city again. 🙂
Two sights that you never see in Delhi- beach and beach-side-greenery (not sure if the ones below are palm trees 😛 )
So the last trip happened almost a month back, and here’s my outfit and food post. Had to publish this post long back, but better late than never! I was in Mumbai for a launch, and for the evening party, I wore a navy blue floral dress in pure cotton which kept me comfortable in the slight humidity there. We went there during the monsoons, but it didn’t rain for the two days that we were there. Was humid, so I chose this dress. Heels and a clutch bag to complete the look, and delicate jewellery for the finishing touches.
Went to Marine Drive late in the night.
The second day of the trip had me unwell- was down with fever, so went to a Alfredo’s in Juhu (where we stayed) for breakfast. Loved their spinach ravioli. Of all the forms of pasta, I love ravioli the most. This one was good- very creamy!
Also headed to Gloria Jeans later in the day. Had been coffee-deprived for more than 24 hours till then 😛 . The jumpsuit I’m wearing in the pictures below has already been featured here.
