The Grand Trunk culinary journey at Dilli 32 at The Leela Ambience Delhi Convention Hotel has now reached it’s final pit stop-Kolkata, after serving us with the cuisines of Delhi, Amritsar and Banaras. Read on for our take on this one!
The city of Joy Kolkata has over time evolved the flavors of fish, mutton, chicken and rice in classic Bengali flavors. Every Bengali takes pride in the delicacies that line their streets and are a characteristic of the street food scene in the city. At Dilli 32, you can experience all of these flavors closer home with a touch of grandeur but with the same touch of authenticity.
Chef Ashwani reinvents the aroma of the classic Kolkata Biryani, the richness of Kosha Mangsho, simmering Bhetki Paturi and the amazing Chittal Peti. The dishes from Kolkata possess infinite variations & textures which are seldom available in one region together.
We loved the Mutton Chop, Bata fry and aloo chop in the starters. For mains, we’d recommend the Kosha Mangsho, Murghi jhol and Kolkata Biryani along with Begun Bhaja and Bhetki Paturi for a mix of flavors and textures across your plate. The variety of stuffed Mughlai parathas only add to the food experience. For dessert, the sondesh is not to be missed at any cost!
Don’t miss the Kolkata food festival for anything, we’d say! You can enjoy the great food in a mini Kolkata created by the restaurant to give you a unique experience here in Delhi!
