We just saw our 68th Independence Day go by, and while the atmosphere gets very patriotic around the same time, the restaurants all around the country leave no stones unturned too to make this a special occassion. Independence Day sure needs special celebrations!
The entire restaurant was done up with Tricolors, and the staff was sporting Indian attire too, in keeping with the theme of the Day!
The Independence Day brunch included food from most regions of the country. From CHicken Tikka chaat and Tandoori paneer ki chaat for salad, and Tamatar Dhaniya ka shorba (tomato- coriander soup), they had it all! The live Chhole bhature counter with lassi was quite a popular one at the restaurant- the bhaturas were colored with the colors of the flag too!
For main course, the Dal Makhani, Butter Chicken and Dum Biryani are what satiate the Indian food cravings for a lot of people. Mushroom hara pyaz, gosht Beliram etc were some other things that I liked! For desserts, the live jalebi and rabri were enough to make everyone drool!
Overall, a nice attempt by Momo Cafe to keep up with the spirits of Independence Day celebrations.
While the spread at the restaurant was very elaborate, I unfortunately lost all other images from the event. Technology, I tell you! Request you to please make do with just the above images 😛
