Radisson Blu Hotel, Dwarka: Staycation

Vacations are our favorite thing to do, especially during this time of the year. But it is not always that you can take a week off from work and head to an exotic location or go on an adventure trip. For all such busy times, a weekend staycation getaway is the perfect thing! Staycations (where you go to a hotel to unwind, and not necessarily step out during the course of your stay) are fast becoming the favorite weekend activity of frequent but busy travellers. They are the perfect way to unqind and relax without having to drive/ fly long distances and pack the bags heavily. Hotels in and around your city are the best best for such times!

We recently went down to Radisson Blu Hotel, Dwarka New Delhi for a staycation and loved every bit of our stay.exterior_1440x550 Continue reading Radisson Blu Hotel, Dwarka: Staycation

Popular Treks in the Himalayas

The majestic Himalayan mountains bordering Northern India have attracted thousands of people from all over the world. Some people say they find God in the Himalayas. Whether or not you find God there, a trek in the Himalayas is sure an unique, lifetime experience. Be it the low oxygen levels, the biting cold weather, dangerous spots in the trail, being in the middle of nowhere… and you are panting, out of breath… You wish to go back to your cosy bed in the hotel from where you started. You know the destination is far, far ahead. And you are stuck in between, breathless in a no-man’s land. And it becomes a matter of survival then… Its a state where the mind blanks out and your higher self takes over. Every trekker in the group stops talking and somehow at this moment, everyone is more connected than anytime else… stopping to help others cross dangerous places, offering water bottles…

New menu at Kitchen District, Hyatt Regency Gurgaon

Whenever a restaurant that I love launches a new menu, I cannot wait to try it. My mind is always curious about how things must have changed from the already nice menu, and it is always an iteresting to review a restaurant from a fresh perspective. Kitchen District, or KD as they call it,  at Hyatt Regency Gurgaon Gurugram has come up with a new menu recently (read our last review here). Add to the new menu their regular food festivals/ promotions wherein they focus on specific food ingredients for a given time and you are in for an amazing treat for your taste buds.

We recently went down for the new menu and ‘Pineapple Week‘ promotions they were doing, and the fact that we weren’t able to wrap our head around pineapple being present in all the dishes when we started off got us really curious. Here’s what we thought of it.
