Open House, CP: Preview

Hey everyone!

A few weeks back, I, along with a bunch of other food bloggers from Delhi, was invited for an exclusive pre-launch food event at Open House, CP (Connaught Place, Delhi). The restaurant has since opened for public, and even though delayed, here’s my review on this new restaurant by Priyank Sukhija- Delhi’s biggest restaurateur.

PS: This below is the view from one side of the restaurant. I am anyways always in awe of this huge Indian National Flag in Central Park, CP. Just looking at it fills my hear with oodles of pride and joy, and having it right at eye level while I was having my food was an amazing experience!

FoodieMusings: Laziz Kabab, Zu Tisch, etc!

Hey everyone!

I’m back with this month’s foodiemusings, the monthly food edition, and all that I’ve been gorging on these past few days. Well, this month saw Diwali come and go, and this time I practised quite a lot of restraint with sweets 😐

Anyhoo, let’s start with my favorite favorite dish ever! I loveeeee the Afghani Cream Chicken at Laziz Kabab, Khan Market, Delhi. This dish, along with roomali rotis, is my comfort food. Good mood, bad mood, happiness, sadness, come what may- take me to Laziz Kabab and nobody gets hurt! I just love this dish to death! It is basically Afghani tandoori chicken (which you can eat separately too) to which some Amul cream is added and it is cooked lightly. The end result is gooey, creamy, succulent chicken floating in cream gravy. The cream, in the end, isn’t as heavy as you must be assuming right now. You have to try this out to know what you are missing! And you will get addicted!

The restaurant is quite small with limited seating (if you are going there alone, you can share a table too). They have nice biryani, kababs and rolls, etc. too, but cream chicken is my favorite!

Best had with roomali rotis and some Maaza (that’s how I like it!).

Floral dreams!

Hey everyone!

Yesterday I happened to visit the Taj Mahal hotel in Delhi for an event, and I couldn’t resist getting clicked, given the ethereal ambience of the hotel.

Summers are at their peak in Delhi, and comfy clothes and minimal jewellery are the order of the day! A touch of style with floral pants with a zippered ankle, sheer white top with cut-out neck-line and tan shoes and bag are a no-brainer outfit combination.

This is the first time I got myself a printed trouser- I am more of a plain-trousers kinda person by style, but I am slowly warming up to wearing printed lowers. Also, a small fashion tip for all the dusky ladies who shy away from wearing white (I always did), and for all others who don’t wear sheer white tops- wear a black camisole underneath, instead of white. It helps reduce the sheerness of the top, brings down the white-ness (if that is even a word!), and makes a crisp white more wearable. You may also go matchy-matchy and wear a cami matching your pants/ bottoms.

Out of the box!

Hey everyone!

So it was my bestie’s birthday the other day and me and my girls headed to ‘Out of the Box’ at Hauz Khas Village. All we wanted was to catch up with each other and chit-chat about all that’s happening in our lives. Even tough I meet my friends almost every week and we talk over phone literally all day, our hectic professional lives don’t allow the whole gang to meet every time, but birthdays are meant to be ‘Out of the Box’.

The place is set across a few floors, and the decor in all of them is slightly different from each other. There’s enough room to seat a whole lot of people, but if you have a favorite corner/ couch, I recommend you get it reserved well in advance. The dim lighting and lots of natural-light seeping in through the windows makes the ambience perfect for all occassions. I don’t have many pics of the restaurant as such, since I wasn’t there on a ‘food bloggers’ event but with my friends- I do have a few food pictures for you to relish! The food is really nice, and I would madly recommend the dimsums, even though I had just the vegetarian ones this time.
