#TMI: 25 random things about me!

Hey everyone!

So it is my birthday this month, and as the countdown to the d-day started a few days back, reality struck one fine day midnight, and I got into the serious, contemplative mode- thinking all about what all has changed in the last 1 year. A lot of relief, though, came from the fact that things have only become better in most aspects of my life. And while I was thinking about all this, I realized that life always teaches you the lessons that you ought to know, and these lessons are the ones that make you the person you are today.

Bridesmaids’ diary: The ‘Cocktail’ OOTD

Helloo everyone!

It’s been such a long time since I posted on this blog. April was a very hectic month for me, with two of my friends getting married in a span of 10 days. Being a bridesmaid is one tough job, I tell you! So much so that I forgot to click my OOTD pics at all the functions. Whoops! While you are doing 10 other things for the bride, clicking your own solo pics is the last thing on your mind!

Anyhoo, here’s presenting some pics for you guys that I clicked from my phone. Hope you’ll like them. Kindly bear with the picture quality :*

Preview: Manish Malhotra at Lakme Fashion Week Summer/ Resort 2015

Hey everyone!

Yesterday I attended the preview for Manish Malhotra’s upcoming collection- to be showcased at Lakme Fashion Week Summer/ Resort 2015 in March. Scroll down for a peek into the upcoming collection before it is launched, and while I was there, I also clicked pics of the MM flagship store. Do take a look. #Drool

Manish’s new collection had lots of yellows, ivory and royal blues in it. Yellow, he said, was going to be the ‘in’ thing this season. It does make everything a little cheery, doesn’t it? The pieces sure look elegant and very wearable!

Below is a glimpse into the new collection…

#OOTD: Shrug it off!

There comes a time in our life when we shrug some people off our priority list, just because they do not add anything positive to our life. It is good to have people you love around you, but equally important to leave the negative ones outside your ‘zone’ lest they start affecting you negatively. I admit to being slightly selfish in this regard, and my own mental peace is so much more important for me than anything else!

The fault in our stars?!

Are you a positive person inherently?

I, for one, am a hopeless optimist. And I like doing things which add to the positivity and make me a happier person from within. As much as I can, I avoid negative things and people in my vicinity, in my life. And the same also holds true for books! Positive thoughts reflect in everything that you do and bring you even better days in life ahead.

styling blue dress indian fashion blogger The prelude was because I recently read the much raved about book- The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. It is a tragic love story, and the protagonist and her love are both dying of cancer, the antagonist in the book. Coming from medical background, I have seen such things happen on an everyday basis. And even then, it is difficult to imagine the pain and agony that cancer brings with it. Or any other terminal disease, for that matter. Continue reading The fault in our stars?!

Delhi’s monsoon woes!

Hey everyone!

How’s monsoon at your end? Gosh, Delhi monsoon this year is in some major hide-and-seek mood I tell you! It’s been over a month since monsoons arrived in Delhi, and in south Delhi, it has just rained twice or thrice till now. Everyday is cloudy, and it looks like it will rain. But it doesn’t. And in all the confusion, I almost always leave home prepared for a downpour. Coz when it does rain here, it rains like there’s no tomorrow. All roads get waterlogged, and traffic jams become the order of the day. One mostly has to take to Delhi Metro for travel čśŤ

Below is my rainy-day attire: Comfy palazzo pants, a loose comfy top, a colorful bag and chunky accessories. Makeup wise, I wear some BB cream, some kohl and red lipstick. The hair goes up in a bun!
